The Maker
I have always been drawn to the earth. Rocks collected on beaches, interesting pieces of wood, mushrooms spotted suddenly on a forest path, the unexpected shapes, the randomness of where beautiful things appear.
I make these pieces because I believe objects carry feeling. There are things in my own home that I look at and they simply make me feel good. That's not a small thing. That's what I want to put into the world.
Each sculpture begins with materials gathered by hand, driftwood, stones and moss from local Vancouver Island shores and forests. I bring them together with crochet, intuition, and a deep pull toward the natural world. The result is something that didn't exist before and won't exist again.
When you bring one home, I want you to feel, every time you look at it, that your space is more beautiful for having it there.
